Medical ReviewerElizabeth Lyda, RRT, holds a bachelor of science degree from Empire State College and associate of science degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care from Mansfield State University, and has been a respiratory therapist since 1983. She was named Respiratory Therapist of the Year in 2007 from the University of Rochester and remains licensed in the state of New York. In her four decades of practice she has gained experience in routine and critical care in both hospital outpatient settings and home environments. She’s experienced in management and use of home respiratory equipment including ventilators, nebulizers, apnea monitors, and CPAP and BiPAP equipment. Her work history includes experience conducting overnight sleep studies as a sleep polysomnographer, and she has over 10 years of clinical trial experience coordinating trials and researching pulmonary diseases. Elizabeth remains active in her local Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis support group and medically reviews health and respiratory content for a variety of outlets and publications.
