Hadassah Kupfer, Au.D., CCC-A
Medical ReviewerHadassah Kupfer, Au.D., CCC-A, presently evaluates, diagnoses, and treats hearing loss and tinnitus in adults and older adults. As an audiologist, Dr. Kupfer prescribes and fits hearing aids, hearing protection, and other modern hearing therapies. She focuses on long-term wellness: social participation, productivity, independence, and brain health.
From the onset of her career, Dr. Kupfer specialized in the needs of older adults from the perspective of cognitive audiology. Until the pandemic, she served as a visiting audiologist to numerous nursing homes and assisted living facilities to fill a gap in the health care they received. She now practices exclusively from her boutique office in Brooklyn, where many of her patients are 85 and older. Having witnessed her grandparents live with various stages of dementia and sensory losses, Dr. Kupfer has a unique compassion when working with aging patients, and she’s passionate about helping older adults lead fulfilling and engaged lives with a healthy dose of optimism and joy.
Dr. Kupfer has also been an adjunct clinical supervisor for City University of New York doctoral candidates at the Diana Rogovin University Hearing Clinic at Brooklyn College. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and accounting from City University of New York – Brooklyn College in 2008 and a doctorate in audiology from City University of New York – The Graduate Center in 2015.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Judah, and their five children, who love chicken nuggets. In her spare time, Dr. Kupfer enjoys baking traditional challah bread and doing Peloton workouts. Second to her expertise in audiology and hearing aid fittings is her knowledge and love for all things Harry Potter.
