Public Affairs Specialist and Spokesperson, Consumer Product Safety Commission
Karla Crosswhite-Chigbue is a communications expert with extensive experience in newsgathering, television coverage and partnership building within multi-media platforms. A former journalist, she is now on a mission to help keep consumers safe. Currently a public affairs specialist and spokesperson for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, her wide range of duties include project manager for the Anchor It! Campaign, older adult safety, fireworks safety and more. Prior to joining CPSC, Karla had an impressive 27-year journalism career as a writer and producer covering everything from the White House and Capitol Hill to consumer news. She is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
